USING THE STEREO EDITOR TITLE BLOCK EDITOR Title Edit
SID Titles add a professional touch to a good music file. Unlike the original Enhanced Sidplayer package, Stereo Editor features a full-function title block editor that allows you to use your creativity to its limits in designing colorful titles for your SIDs. Title blocks consist of 5 lines of up to 32 characters in each line, and Stereo Editor allows full-screen editing within that area.
You'll find all of the usual screen editing keys function in the Title editor. The cursor keys allow you to move in all directions and there is cursor wrap in all four directions for convenience. All capital letters, numbers, punctuation, and graphics characters are supported, as are the color change keys (CONTROL or Commodore plus a number key), reverse on and off (CONTROL-9 or CONTROL-0), and character insertion and deletion. In addition, the following special keys can be used:
HOME - Move to the top-left corner of the editing block.
CLR - Clear the entire editing block.
F1 - Delete the current line that the cursor is on and move all lines below it up to fill in the space left.
F2 - Insert a blank line at the current cursor position.
F3 - Center the text of the current line.
F4 - Invert the current line. All normal characters are converted to reverse video and vice versa. Note that character colors are not modified at all.
F5 - Return to the main editor program.
F7 - Paint the current line entirely in the cursor color.
F8 - Combines the invert and paint operations to reverse the current line as well as painting it in the cursor color.
SPECIAL FEATURE! The CONTROL-P keypress, not listed on the screen menu, begins to play the current SID while you edit your SID title. The music will be continuously repeated until you exit the Title Block Editor or press CONTROL-P again to turn the feature off.
After you have exited the Title Block Editor, your SID Title will be saved automatically with the .MUS file when you save your SID file.
