Edit Features

THE EDITING FEATURES MENU

SET MARK - This is part of the "cut and paste" feature. Select this option while monitoring the voice on which note sequences are to be moved, copied or deleted. Set the mark on the first note to "cut and paste", scroll through until reaching the end of the area and press F7 to call up the special Cut and Paste menu. Selecting "Delete Region" will completely and irretrievably remove the marked region of notes from the voice, while "Cut Region" will store up to 1530 notes in the Cut and Paste buffer and remove the region from the voice. "Save Region" stores the notes in the buffer but does NOT remove them from the voice. "Remove Mark" exits Cut and Paste mode without doing anything.

INSERT BUFFER - Monitor the voice on which notes just entered into the cut- and-paste buffer are to be inserted. Press < RETURN > to enter the phrase from the buffer. Spaces need not be inserted; the buffer will be entered onto the voice and any notes previously entered will be moved to the right.

CLEAR TO END - Clears all notes on the voice being monitored from the cursor position to the end of the voice.

ERASE TO START - Erases all notes on the voice being monitored from the cursor position to the beginning of the voice.

RENUMBER MEASURES - Renumbers measure marker numbers from the cursor position on a voice to the end. This will remove any "gaps" in measure numbers.

KILL MS# COMMANDS - Should be used after a SID file is completed to avoid confusion. This command erases all measure markers from either the voice selected or all voices.

PURGE BUFFER - Clears the "cut and paste" buffer.

VOICE-VOICE COPY - Monitor the voice on which all notes and commands should be copied FROM. You will be asked which voice to copy TO, and all entries on the voice monitored will be copied. If there are note or command entries on the voice being copied to, you will be prompted as to whether you wish copying to take place. COPYING A VOICE TO A NON-EMPTY VOICE WILL ERASE EVERYTHING IN THE DESTINATION VOICE; THIS IS NOT AN INSERT OPERATION!
