Disk Options

LOAD/SAVE/NEW AND DISK COMMANDS

SAVE CURRENT SID - It is recommended to save SID files several times during the editing process. Stereo Editor has an advanced "save and replace" option so the same filenames can be used. Saving the SID automatically creates a ".MUS" file, a ".STR" file, and a ".WDS" file (if one was created).

LOAD NEW FILE - After prompting to insert a music disk, LOADing files is accomplished via directory menu. IMPORTANT NOTE! Once a directory has been loaded, the SID that was previously in memory will NO LONGER BE THERE. This is why loading automatically gives you the option to save your SID file if any changes were made to it.

ERASE CURRENT SID - You will always be prompted as to whether you wish to save any changes made on the current SID file before erasing it from memory.

INSERTION LOAD - To merge two separate SID files together.

BYTES FREE CHECK - Allows you to see how much free memory is left.

Selecting Disk Commands brings up two options of either Disk Directory display or the use of DOS wedge disk commands for scratching, validating, formatting, etc.
